- Public transportation
Trams and buses generally leave every 5 minutes from Mainz Hauptbahnhof. The easiest way to get to the Institute of Nuclear Physics is to take a bus or tram from the west exit of the main train station and get off at the second stop Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer-Weg. Take one of the following:- Trams 51, 53 towards Finthen, Lerchenberg
- Buses 55, 56 towards Finthen, Wackernheim
A short-distance ticket (Kurzstrecken-Ticket) which is valid for up to three stops can be purchased from any driver for the reduced price of 1.65 €.
